Retrieving Brother Hannibal: Starter Adventure.

In the port city of losloth there has been quite a commotion for the past few weeks. During one of the worst winters Losloth has seen in its many years upon these shores an old gray sickly dwarf arrived to honor the treaty between his kin and the humans of this settlement. He brought with him supplies, tools, and weapons; the citizens, in return, granted a percentage of their annual harvest that they had stored. 

Now that spring is upon us the farmers have begun to use these tools. Shortly after the farmers began to use the dwarven tools, it was revealed these items were covered in some form of material that has spread a plague throughout Losloth. It is known as the gray scourge, the reason it is so named is because those who have contracted it have become sickly gray, their veins showing through are pale white, their flesh covered in large white pustules that spread over their entire body causing dizziness, incoherence, and hallucinations.

Regardless of what medicines, herbs, or magicks are used, nothing seems to heal this sickness. The leader of the local temple, Father Augustus Avery, pleads that you track down a member of his brotherhood by the name of Brother Percival Hannibal. Brother Hannibal left approximately 2 weeks ago to research the origins of the gray scourge, and in search for a cure. He was supposed to return three days ago and has yet to be heard from, Avery believes his apprentice has been captured. Brother Hannibal's last correspondence placed him near the ruins of the King’s Way Temple. You have agreed to make your way to the ruins of the King’s Way Temple to find out what fate has befallen Brother Hannibal, rescue him, and learn what caused this plague and put an end to it. Father Avery has given you directions to the King’s Way Temple and you make your way through the forest and into a clearing that once was a beautiful courtyard that is now clearly overgrown with brush and debris from the years without upkeep.
